I am in the middle of my 30-Day writing challenge, what I’m calling the Umaverse Honesty Project. My solopreneur business is The Umaverse. The main reason I decided to do this was to shake myself up and fast-track business progress.

Originally, I planned to write about The Umaverse and my work each day. That has not happened consistently. At the end of this post, there’s an article list from these 16 days. You will see that they range widely.

Writing every day is more difficult than I expected. It’s uncomfortable. It’s unfamiliar. The inside of my mind can be opaque as hell.

Staring at the blank screen, contemplating what to write about. A struggle to create the first sentence. Then the second.

Telling myself, it’s ok, it doesn’t have to be good, don’t write for an audience, write for yourself. Do this for you.

For a good 4–5 days in the middle, I got lost in the Medium hustle, sucked into the vortex of shoulds and oughts. Trying to make my story readable, write a title that passed the “good headline” test, develop a topic that someone would want to read about.
