Yes, yes. It’s so amazing how simple it is, right? I love this. We are not broken in any way. This strange thing, the ego, which doesn’t even exist, has created our solid sense of being. Meanwhile, our authentic self (I like that you called it that) is unchanged. I’ve been doing the year of lessons in A Course In Miracles (Original Edition) and it’s designed to being us through to our authentic self.

The ego has a firm firm hold and it is HARD to get past it to the spacious sky.

I somewhat agree with what you say later about meditation and I was certainly taught that through many years of spiritual study, but lately I’m not sure it’s really the best way.

I don’t meditate really at all anymore and instead I have practice awareness in all moments. Maybe the fact that I did meditate for many years helps me be able to be aware now. I think about it a lot because I also teach people now and I don’t urge them to meditate.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing them a disservice by suggesting. The “fourth way” of awakening in life. (Are you familiar with Gurdjieff and Ouspensky?)

I’m rambling. I basically just wanted to say, thanks for the article. Glad you have found this truth and wisdom.
